Var artist born in Toulon, Lucia Barra first followed other paths than those of Art, but always inhabited by the desire to paint, she trained alongside various techniques from artists in workshops in private lessons, and a shift to Fine Arts as an auditor.
From 2010 she was able to completely devote herself and began exhibiting as it appeared to her important to compare her work to public view, meet other artists and to discover the professional world of art. This marked the start of her artistic career.
From a first participation in BASE'ART in 2012 where she will exhibit a series of female nudes, things moved very quickly: in a series begun in 2013 (Black and White series), it offers powerful compositions knife, black and white, contrasting with the ubiquity of female nudes with faces often hidden.
Series at a Glance focuses it on anonymous or known faces, always carried with a knife.
She is currently working on several series in parallel, including a series called "icons" devoted to stars of rock and French chanson, and also another in collaboration with the Marseillais Art photographer Jean Claude Sanchez.
She also paints under the pseudonym LUBA small formats colorful and humorous in a radically different style which is another facet, more fun, its Art.
Nourished by passion and enthusiasm production is intense and it multiplies, but still selectively exhibitions both collective and private in the Var and the Bouches-du-Rhône in particular. She was recently noted by several galleries with which it now works regularly.
Some of her works are visible on ARTSPER (professional site for art galleries to online sales to the public)
